Shoaib Malik was being criticized for his poor performance in the World Cup, due to which he announced retirement from ODIs after the match against Bangladesh. Let us know that they will remain in T20 format right now. Shoaib Malik had said goodbye to Test cricket in 2015.

Shoaib Malik came to a press conference after the match against Bangladesh, in which he announced his retirement. Shoaib Malikya, 37, said at the press conference, “I am retiring from ODI cricket. I had decided a few years ago that I would retire after the last World Cup in Pakistan. Malik said that after retirement, he will be able to spend more time with his family and get a better focus on the T20 format too. He said, “I am sad to say that I am saying goodbye to that format of cricket, whichever made me love but happiness is that now I will have more time to spend with my family.”

Shoaib Malik’s performance in ICC World Cup-2015 was extremely disappointing. He had scored only 8 runs in 3 matches of the tournament, due to which he was constantly criticizing. It is believed that Shoaib Malik will retire from the T20 format after the 2020 T20 World Cup. He started his international career against the West Indies in 1999 and played the first Test match in 2001. Malik scored 7534 runs in 287 one-dayers, in which he has 9 centuries and 44 half-centuries.
