India vs West Indies 2nd Test Playing XI, IND vs WI Update
Virat Kohli can make 3 big changes in playing XI
The second Test match of the series between India and West Indies will begin in Kingston from 30 August.
The last match of the two-Test series between India and West Indies will start from today at Sabina Park in Kingston. The Indian team won the first Test match to take a 1-0 lead in the series. In such a situation, the goal of Team India will be on winning the series 2–0. For this, captain Virat Kohli can make 3-4 major changes in the playing eleven. It is believed that the players who are not able to perform, can be given a chance to get the players sitting on the bench.
These changes can happen in Playing XI
Mayank Agarwal, who has played three Test matches for Team India so far, was part of the Indian team in the first Test match. Mayank was given the opening despite KL Rahul being an option, but he proved to be a flop in both innings of the match. In such a situation, Virat Kohli can give rest to Mayank Agarwal and include Rohit Sharma in the playing XI. Mayank had scored just 21 runs in both innings of the first match. Rohit Sharma played his last Test match against Australia in Melbourne in December last year. In limited overs, Rohit Sharma has played several impressive innings recently. In such a situation, they may be included in the team.
On the West Indies tour, Rishabh Pant is a player who has disappointed in his performance in T20, ODI and now also in Test series. There are constant criticisms about Pant. It is possible that Virat Kohli should replace Wriddhiman Saha in the playing eleven in place of Rishabh Pant in the second Test match. Rishabh Pant had scored just 31 runs in both innings of the first match. Saha proved his form while playing for India A against West Indies A. Wriddhiman Saha was a regular player in the Indian Test team before Pant’s arrival, but due to some fitness problems, he was dropped from the team.
Virat Kohli can bring Ashwin
The Indian fast bowlers did well in the first Test match. However, Mohammed Shami could not impress much. According to media reports, Virat Kohli may keep R Ashwin in the playing XI. Mohammed Shami may be rested to replace Ashwin.
