India won the first match of the series in Australia after 10 Years
Australia got the target of 323 runs to win by India but the Indian bowlers finished their second innings with 291 runs to beat the hosts by 31 runs.
The Indian cricket team won by 31 runs in the first Test against Australia on Monday. India has won the Test match after 15 years on the Adelaide Oval ground. Earlier, in 2003, the match was played in the Test match played on this field.
On the basis of this victory, India has achieved a 1-0 lead in the four test matches against Australia. The Indian team gave the target of 323 runs to Australia on the basis of their second innings. On the positive side of their lower order batsmen, the Australians reached almost near the target but Indian bowlers did not let them achieve this goal.
The Indian bowlers added Australia’s second innings to 291 runs and won the team by 31 runs. Australia, on the fifth day, had scored 186 runs for six wickets at lunch. In the second session, captain Tim Paine (41) and Cummins (28) added 31 runs to help the team reach a score of 187. On this score, Jaspreet Bumrah takes Paine wicket in the hands of Rishabh Pant and paved the way for Pavilion.
Oz was trying to handle his lower order batsman Stork (28), who came with the help of Cummins in the same order, added 41 runs for the eighth wicket and tried to get the team closer to victory but Mohammed Shami gave a big blow to the team here. Shami showed the stork a pavilion on the score of 228. He was caught in the hands of Pant, standing behind the wicket. India needed two wickets now to win.
Here the Cummins, with Nathan Lyon (38), troubled the bowlers of the Indian team a bit, but after achieving success, the team managed to score Cummins’s wicket on 259. Bumrah hit Cummins in the hands of Kohli and sent the pavilion. India needed only one wicket for a historic win, but Lyon did not allow this victory to be easy. He was batting in some way and trying to reach Australia to the goal and he would have been successful in doing so.
Lyon added 32 runs with Josh Hazelwood (13) to help the team score 291 and Australia needed 31 runs to win, but on this score, Ashwin gave India a wicket with Hejalwood. He lied Lokesh to Rahul. Australia’s innings ended at 291 runs. Ashwin, Bumrah, and Shami took three wickets each for India in this innings, while Ishant got a breakthrough.
